Sahal [NAME CHANGED] is 9 years old. He sits in a reception centre for former soldiers in Mogadishu. Two years ago, he was abducted by the Al-Shabaab rebel group. He and more than 160 other Al-Shabaab members recently defected due to lack of food. Somalia faces one of the worst food security crises in the world, part of a drought crisis threatening over 12 million people throughout the Horn of Africa.
